Dry stone walls are better for the environment than mortared ones, and when built properly, will outlast them and any of us!
They blend in with the scenery, are a part of the UK's heritage and a countryside staple.
The walls are also a haven for wildlife, a home for nesting birds, lizards, countless insects, small mammals and amphibians.
